The “Jet Hitter” has a chance to be pretty revolutionary, if it gets past prototype stage.
For decades, professional baseball players, amateurs, Little Leaguers, and wannabes have practiced their hitting skills via batting cages (which fire a baseball from a high-powered cannon-like contraption) or by hitting off of a tee. These methods have provided a few problems, most notably the chance of the hitter not paying attention and getting smacked in the face with a ball, or the annoyance of accidentally striking the tee and having to go pick it up.

Well, the “Jet Hitter” eliminates the need for such traditional methods of practice, instead making the ball levitate in front of the hitter. The device also requires the hitter to be focused and pay attention, as the ball moves around a bit while it floats there (just as a real pitch from a real pitcher would likely do).
Check out the informational video below to get an idea of how the Jet Hitter works. If it catches on, it might be a convenient and pretty helpful new way to improve your hitting skills. Read more about it here.
