The long loved manga, Ranma 1/2, by Rumiko Takahashi is going to be turned into a drama! It will air in December on Nippon Television. Ranma will be played by Kento Kaku and Natsuna as the female form. Yui Aragaki, who is also a fan of the manga, will be playing Ranma’s wife to be, Akane.
Fans are extremely curious about who will be playing Ranma’s father, Genma, as he transforms into a Panda when water is thrown on him. Several other characters like Ryouga and Shampoo also appear as animals throughout the manga, so it will be very interesting to see how they will reflect this in the live action version.
