Tamagotchi iDL

Remember those little egg shaped toys called Tamagotchi that were popular in the 90s? It’s quite embarrassing and funny, but I remember when I was a little kid I cried when mine died (RIP). Anyways, Bandai recently announced that they will be releasing a 15th anniversary version of their Tamagotchi iD L on 11/23, the toy’s birth date. This version has 32 characters, including those from the first generation, that were chosen by fans, as well as characters and items that were designed by its users. Players can also exchange items and visit towns from past generations like Makkakka Town and Oyaji Village.

The 15th anniversary model will come in two colors, royal pink and royal purple, and costs 5,040 yen ($65.50). Check out the winning designs here!
