Collaboration package of caramel corn with popular cartoonists has hit and has had explosive sales even though they’re only available for a limited time.
Four new designs were announced this year! The first release is the package of yellow, honey butter flavor (founded by Fujio Akatsuka, known for Bakabon), which is designed by Fujio Production was released on February 4th. Crispy caramel corn dough with a hint of butter creates a friendly flavor.
Another package that was released at the same time is the pink one designed by the famous cartoonist behind Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2, Rumiko Takahashi. It’s a mixed berry flavor, which is sweet and sour with berry juice. You can enjoy three types – strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry.
The chocolate taste of the brown Package is designed by Golgo 13’s Takao Saito and will be released on May 14th. Mild honey flavored was added to condensed milk to bittersweet chocolate that can be addictive!
The Baby Pink packages designed by Shigeru Mizuki, famous for Gegege no Kitaro, is for the adzuki bean milk flavor. Rustic flavor of Japanese red bean powder and condensed milk was added to honey and surprisingly matches with caramel corn, and so you can enjoy a different texture from the other three versions.
All of designs ooze in each cartoonist’s individuality! Available for a limited time only. After munching on the deliciousness, maybe you could store the packaging in a scrapbook of kawaii stuff!
