Hey Hollywood: “We Heart Japan” benefit this Thursday at Meltdown Comics

It’s been a few days since the catastrophic events in Japan, and as you’ve seen in previous posts people from all across the globe are doing whatever they can to assist the country in its rehabilitation.

This Thursday at Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles, Pinguino Kolb and Stephanie Sheh are hosting a benefit auction event to raise funds for Japan. Titled “We Heart Japan”, the event will feature art submitted by local and national artists as well as meet-and-greets with anime voice actors.

Kolb is a comics artist, designer, and photographer, and Sheh is a voice actress, director, writer, and producer. They combined their talents to put this event together.

As this post from Robot 6 describes about the event,

In less than a week, the two have pulled together donations from a number of local artists as well as the anime companiesBandai and Geneon, the anime streaming siteCrunchyroll and the anime convention AM2.

They’re also looking for more art submissions for the auction, so if you or anyone you know has anything to offer, get in contact with the event promoters and see what you can do. You can reach them via their Twitter page or the Facebook event page for this benefit.
