Japanese Ramen Chain Offers an Insane Amount of Free Toppings

Ramen Jiro doesn’t believe in changing their menus to meet the needs of their customers. While many ramen chains have been creating lighter ramen options to draw people in who are worried about their weight, Ramen Jiro pays no mind to this business tactic and continues to serve whatever they want. Due to this belief of serving what they want, several branches serve their own ramen concoction that is only available at their chain.

For example, the Hachioji branch of Ramen Jiro serves its own version of tsukemen (which tastes like regular ramen but it’s served as dry noodle with dipping sauce on the side) and it’s so limited that only 50 people per day get to eat it. You can also order naminori tsukemen at this location, which is another beast entirely.

The most comparable thing to naminori tsukemen in western food is covering your hot dog in condiments. I mean COVERING it in condiments, to the point where you can no longer see the hot dog. But even by that standard the hot dog comparison does not do the naminori tsukemen justice. Basically you get your tsukemen noodles and an entire bowl filled with free toppings.

That is a STUPID amount of meat. (I'm just kidding; meat can't be stupid).

While you may not be able to try the naminori tsukemen without going to Japan, the Tsujita Annex has brought the Jiro style ramen to Los Angeles and is said to be equally as rich and meaty as the original. Some say it’s an exact replica of it. The Tsujita Annex has even replaced their Miso Ramen with tsukemen recently. Those near the Los Angeles area that want to try it can find the address here.
