なにわ男子 (Naniwa Danshi) 443

Naniwa Danshi (なにわ男子) is a 7-member Japanese boy group under STARTO ENTERTAINMENT. They were part of Kansai Johnny’s Junior before their debut with the song “初心LOVE,” announced on July 28, 2021, and released on November 12, 2021.

The members of the group are as follows:

• 大橋和也 (Kazuya Ohashi) — Leader
• 藤原丈一郎 (Joichiro Fujiwara)
• 西畑大吾 (Daigo Nishihata)
• 高橋恭平 (Kyohei Takahashi)
• 大西流星 (Ryusei Onishi)
• 道枝駿佑 (Shunsuke Michieda)
• 長尾謙杜 (Kento Nagao)

Their group name is derived from the date of their debut announcement, which in Japanese can be pronounced as “Naniwa”—with 7 being “Na,” 2 being “Ni” and 8 being “Wa.” Due to this, Naniwa Danshi has gained recognition under the pseudonym 728, and the group acknowledges this date as “Naniwa Day.” Additionally, “Naniwa” also refers to the old name of Osaka city and its surrounding region, the place where the group’s originated from.

Their label, Johnny & Associates, made a documentary of the group titled “Naniwa Danshi’s Journey 1100 Days Till Debut,” showing the pre-debut activities of Naniwa Danshi which released on December 22, 2021, on Amazon Prime Video.

On July 13, 2022, Naniwa Danshi released their first album titled 1st Love, including their celebrated debut single, as well as their pre-debut song, “ダイヤモンドスマイル (Diamond Smile).”

In just two years after their debut, Naniwa Danshi has released four singles and two albums. They also expand their discography with many unreleased songs.
