A mega hit manga, “Death Note” receives an American live action film adaption by Netflix, and it will debut exclusively on Netflix starting on August 25th, 2017. This time, they released its film’s very first teaser!

“Death Note” is an internationally popular manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The story follows a male high school student who discovers a notebook, “Death Note” by accident and realizes that this has a special power to kill anyone whose name is written in it. He gets obsessed with this incredible notebook and starts killing people to “clean up the world.”

This film is directed by a young suspense and horror movie director, Adam Wingard who is well-known for “You’re Next” and “The Guest.” The casts include Nat Wolff as a main character, Light Turner, Margaret Qualley, and so on.

The teaser video starts with a scene where a main character, Light receives a notebook fallen from the sky. At the end of this footage, fans notice that there is a suspicious shadow, which is presumably the Shinigami, Ryuk.

Netflix original film, “Death Note” will premiere on Netflix starting on August 25th.
