It has been announced that Hamada Bamyu Bamyu, a character portrayed by comedy duo Downtown’s Hamada Masatoshi, will be releasing his debut single “なんでやねんねん (Nandeyanennen)” on December 16.

Hamada Bamyu Bamyu is an idol parody character of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu who emerged this past May in the television show “Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!!” This past month, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s producer Nakata Yasutaka (CAPSULE) and artist director Masuda Sebastian appeared on the show, announcing their intentions to produce Hamada Pamyu Pamyu.


“Nandeyanennen” is a song filled with humor and charm. The CD jacket, designed by Masuda, shows Hamada surrounded by colorful and pop items, emphasizing the “kawaii” culture.

Details of the single and a clip of the music video will be broadcasted on the TV show on November 22. Following the broadcast, on midnight of November 23, “Nandeyanennen” will be available for download on the iTunes Store and Rekochoku in Japan. Downloads will be available in 110 countries worldwide in following dates.
