The Sapporo Snow Festival is going on right now in Japan, and it’s quite a sight.
After the jump, check out this news piece on the festival in the northern city of Sapporo. Among the highlighted snow sculptures are replicas of Japanese baseball stars, television characters and even a huge re-creation of a big Japanese temple.
I can imagine it’s quite an exhaustive process designing and creating these things, probably the likes of which I’d never have enough patience to carry out. Of course, that only makes these that much more impressive, considering the fact that they’re made out of ice and snow.
Another cool, award-winning job I’ll never have, I guess.
