Japan’s long-standing, all-female musical theater troupe Takarazuka is coming to America to perform the Tony Award-winning musical Chicago this summer!

The Takarazuka Revue will be in town to perform six shows at the David H. Koch Theater from July 20-24. Tickets will go on sale for US$50-110.

More information and ticket purchase is available here through the Lincoln Center’s website.

The group is an icon of Japanese culture, adapting everything from Rurouni Kenshin and Lupin the 3rd to the life of Abraham Lincoln. The Chicago performance will include Japanese renditions of the songs with Bob Fosse’s original choreography. The troupe debuted Chicago The Musical – Takarazuka 100th Anniversary: OG Version in 2014 with Saori Mine, Asato Shizuki, and Saki Asaji alternating as Billy Flynn.
