The end of the summer is proving to be a busy time for the Jrock and global pop scene in Los Angeles! I wanted to share with you information on upcoming events, including some of our own Tune in Tokyo shows!
Nisei Week is underway in Little Tokyo. Today was the grand re-opening of the Japanese Village, complete with an amazing new fire lookout tower and a gorgeous re-deco of the building complex and shop facades. While out and about, I ran into Tune in Tokyo friend Stephanie Yanez, who will be appearing at our Sakura Bomb Jrock live this Thursday! She”s thrilled to be performing at our showcase, and has some cool songs in-store for everyone coming out to the show.
Lemon Drop Kick, Keshiki, Nightmares for Robots, and Stephanie will be bringing the Jrock sound back to Little Tokyo for this awesome event! We”re excited to be welcoming these great artists to the best live venue in Little Tokyo! They”re ready for best online casino Sakura Bomb, so be sure to come out and show your support! We”ll also have some raffle items, and here”s some cool news–the VAMPS street team is going to be there! Be sure to say hello! They”re going to be bringing along some cool giveaways, too!
As you may know, VAMPS is returning to Los Angeles on October 1st, for an awesome night of adrenaline-fueled rock at the Avalon! For tickets and more information, visit Ticketmaster and the band”s official site. Their show last year at the Wiltern was fantastic–you don”t want to miss their big return to LA!
Following our Sakura Bomb showcase, we”ll be spinning at the 1st Anniversary Party for Kira Kira in City of Industry! This elegant boutique features the newest Purikura machines from Japan, an in-house salon, and plenty of cool fashion accessories! They are celebrating their first year at Four Seasons Plaza, located just off the 60 in the Rowland Heights area. Over the past year, we”ve had the chance to spin at some great parties there, including a holiday event in winter 2009, a fantastic Lunar New Year party hosted by cute food and Japanese fashion blogger La Carmina, and Galamorous hosted by Diamond Gyaru-Sa! Diamond will be back to host this 1st anniversary party, “Aloha Gal-ifornia”! Join us on August 28th for purikura, J-Pop, and awesome Gyaru-Kei and Japanese summer fashion!
See you this Thursday at Sakura Bomb Jrock Live, presented by Tune in Tokyo! Be sure to come out to Little Tokyo this week–it”s a great time to celebrate Japanese music, food, and culture! And then start practicing your purikura poses, because Aloha Gal-ifornia is next, on August 28th!
