Apparently today, November 15, is Kamaboko Day since 1983! Kamaboko is a common topping for hot soups, one-dish meals, and noodle dishes.  Kamaboko is made from various pureed white fish.  It is good! For those who are not big fish fans- give it a try, it doesn’t really taste like fish.

In Japan there are many kamaboko designs that are kawaii and fun to see on your meal! here are the ones I found online:
