Kigurumi is the Japanese name for the costumed performers dressed up as cartoon characters. You know, like when you go to Disneyland and see those people dressed up in big Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck costumes. Then there is ganguro, which is of course a style of Japanese street fashion using kigurumi costumes as personal dress. And for those Kigurumin out there who couldn’t even sleep without being dressed up as their cartoon idols, there are disguise pajamas.
