Limited Edition Hatsune Miku Dollfie Dream Doll to be released
The folks over at Dollfie Dream, responsible for production of super high-quality dolls, have collaborated with Sega and Crypton to create a limited edition Hatsune Miku Dollfie Dream doll, herein referred to as DD.
If you aren’t familiar with DD dolls, they started creating dolls in 1998 by VOLKS/ZOUKEI-MURA INC and have always boasted premium quality when it comes to the figures they make. For that reason, these dolls do not come cheap, by any means, costing anywhere from approximately 65,000 yen to 72,000 yen (it could even be higher).
This hasn’t been the first anime/video game collaboration that Dollfie Dream has taken a part in. In fact, they have tons of limited edition dolls such as Rin Tosaka from the Fate series, a maid Rei Ayanami from Evangelion, Beatrice from Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, and even Sakuya Izayoi from Project Shrine Maiden or better known as Touhou Project. Their collaboration repertoire is pretty extensive and you can see all past collaborations here.
Back to the Hatsune Miku DD, pre-orders start September 28th and continue to December 1st. Those in Japan can pre-order the doll at the VOLKS web store, and those outside of Japan can visit the English version of the VOLKS web store. If you want to go to a store to see the quality of the dolls before you purchase, you can go to Tenshi-no-Sumika in LA or Tenshi-no-Sumika in Seoul and where they can take your pre-order. However, the store in Seoul will not be accepting preo-orders for Miku’s Senbonsakura outfit set so keep this in mind when pre-ordering from the store.
