“Your Name” Is Coming to North American Theaters in April!

Director Makoto Shinkai’s latest film, “Your Name” is hitting theaters in North America starting on April 7th thanks to FUNimation. It is also announced that RADWIMPS will sing themed songs all in English.

This movie came out last August in Japan and it’s been earning 287 million USD so far nationwide. “Your Name” also became No.1 in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, China and Korea and it will be distributed in 125 countries in total. In America and Canada, over 200 theaters will be screening “Your Name.”

The CEO of FUNimaiotn, Gen Fukunaga comments that “Your Name” is a beautiful story which keeps attracting the public despite of the genre.

There are 4 English themed songs including “Zenzenzense (English ver.)” and “Dream lantern (English ver.).” All the English lyrics were written by the vocal of RADWIMPS, Yojiro Noda. These 4 songs will be digitally distributed on January 27th and CD will come out on February 22nd.
