New Ace Attorney for 3DS to take place in Meiji Era
It’s something no fan expected and suddenly realized they wanted, a new Ace Attorney (Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Ryuunosuke Naruhodou no Bouken) with the possibility of an actual encounter with a REAL embodiment of the Steel Samurai. You know, because it’s set in the Meiji Era and all. Shu Takumi, series creator, is once again in charge of this Ace Attorney (Dual Destinies wasn’t helmed by Takumi so those who felt the game felt different tonally now know why).
It doesn’t seem like any of our favorite characters will make a return in the new game and instead will feature a new protagonist, with a sword. However, like another game in the Ace Attorney series, the game might not make it over to overseas due to a perceived lack of interest. And the games that DO make it over undergo hilarious and charming localization in an attempt to appeal to a wider audience.
With awkward localization or not, hopefully the game will make its way out of Japan and into the hands of Ace Attorney fans all over the world.
UPDATE: Here’s a new trailer, broheims
