Talent agency Johnny’s has just announced the debut of a six-piece boy group “King & Prince”. This is the first Johnny’s boy group debut in 4 years. The members are separated into two groups of Kings (Hirano Sho, Nagase Ren, Takahashi Kaito) and Princes (Kishi Yuta, Jinguji Yuta, Iwahashi Genki). The leader will be the oldest member Kishi Yuta, who played the leading role in popular 2015 TV show “Oniichan, Gacha (My Capsule Toy Brothers)”.
The six members had shortly formed 2 teams under the names “Mr. King” and “Mr. Prince”, the predecessors of the now “King & Prince”, when promoting for a music festival. Hirano Sho says, “At the beginning the six of us were cultivated separately in group of 3, and now we are one team of six. I can’t be more excited to see what kind of power we will bring to the stage!”
The new boy group will have their first CD released under new label “Johnny’s Universe”.
