“Maiden Blood,” a completely original anime series produced by Polygon Pictures, is set to premiere in 2027. The series brings together acclaimed director Seiji Kishi, series composer Makoto Uezu, and renowned illustrator LAM for a dark fantasy action story set in a world devastated by demons. The teaser trailer, teaser key visual, main staff, and main cast have also been unveiled.
Set in a world ravaged by demons, “Maiden Blood” follows blood warriors—humans modified through surgery and blood magic to fight demons. Their abilities are powered by blood, and the sisters Eva and Epica face deadly enemies in a brutal struggle for survival.
The newly released teaser trailer introduces mysterious sisters Eva and Epica, who fight terrifying creatures in a brutal and devastated world. The trailer also offers the first glimpse of their voices, performed by Iori Saeki as Eva and Yukari Anzai as Epica.
The series is directed by Seiji Kishi, known for works including Assassination Classroom, Classroom of the Elite, and Blue Orchestra. Makoto Uezu, who has worked on Yuki Yuna Is a Hero, KONOSUBA, and Kengan Ashura, serves as series composer. Character designs are based on original concepts by acclaimed illustrator LAM. Music is composed by Keiichi Okabe, Kuniyuki Takahashi, and Taichi Joraku of MONACA.
Animation is produced by Polygon Pictures, one of Japan’s most established digital animation studios, known for its distinctive CG animation and productions for audiences both in Japan and around the world.
