Perfume startles the world. Performance of newest song uses the latest technology
Perfume performed at “SXSW 2015”, which was held in Austin, Texas from March 13 to 22. They showed the world an exciting dance performance along with the latest technology.
Perfume performed as the headliner for the last night of SXSW Interactive on March 17. Creatives from all over the world gathered to catch a glimpse of the girls’ performance.
People chanted for Perfume even before the show began. Graphics were displayed on the screen and the three appeared on stage to “STORY” (SXSW-MIX), which was written specifically for the event. The crowd gasped.
A semi-transparent screen was prepared specifically for the performance. The members of Perfume moved in front of and behind the screen and even move the screen itself. They danced to the synchronized video and captivated the eyes of the world.
The performance was streamed live on YouTube as the “JAPAN NITE” SXSW Asia Rep. Perfume put on a completely new type of performance at one of the biggest music festivals in the world that showcases the latest technology.
Perfume got into the international spirit and addressed the crowd in English. A-chan said “Make some noise!” and Nocchi said, “We’ll jump 4 times! Ready?” Their concert go-to song, “P.T.A. corner”, also went over very well. The crowed chanted for an encore regardless of the fact that the venue was closing.
On the day of the event, Perfume’s latest concert DVD & Blu-ray, “Perfume 5th Tour 2014 ‘GURUNGURUN’”, both took the top spot. Perfume is the first female artist to take the number one spot on both.
Perfume will release their single, “Relax In The City/Pick Me Up” on April 29.
