Sapporo Snow Festival 2012, The highlight is a huge snow sculpture of the TORIKO × One Piece!

Popular anime, TORIKO and One Piece’s Heavy snow statue collaboration, entitled Dream 9 × TORIKO One Piece will be appearing at UHB Family Land at the Sapporo Snow Festival in Hokkaido 63rd annual event from February 6 to February 12, 2012. The event stretches about 1.5km from east to west across central Odori Park in Sapporo. A total of 2,416,000 tourists from Japan and overseas visited last year and this is one of the best events in Japan. Various anime characters appear as snow sculptures every year, and the snow sculpture collaboration of TORIKO and One Piece is the highlight of 2012.

The heavy snow statue measures 15m in height, 20m in depth, and 24m in width, and used 270 trucks filled with 11 tons of snow. The place is lit up from 16:00-22:00, and a different scenery can be enjoyed during the day. In addition, visitors can purchase TORIKO x One Piece limited merch. It is a major event only to be seen in Hokkaido!

  1. There is also a big air snowboarding event in the 2nd block. I saw the riders warming up yesterday. Some crazy tricks were thrown down. The competition is during the week so check the board in the 2nd block for times.
