Sleep with Hatsune Miku by your side

You may love Hatsune Miku but HOW MUCH do you love her? Do you love her enough to want her at your side as you fall asleep? Well that’ll never be possible but through ingenious use of existing technology you can come pretty close to making Miku sleep with you…er, by you a reality.

Introducing the Sleep Together App designed by a member of Nico Nico Douga’s engineering department, Negipoyoshi. This technology marks a great stride in technological development and brings to perspective how far technology has come (and GREATLY exemplifies the adage “where there’s a will, there’s a way” and the will REALLY wants to sleep with Miku).

“Don’t worry my waifu, I shall soon be with you.”

So how does one “use” this Sleep Together App? First you need an Oculus Rift, which is a headset that pretty much lets you play games in 3D. Despite it still being in its testing phases, people who one have noted that it works decently and brings a new level of immersion to gaming. But we’re not talking about gaming; we’re talking about achieving what otakus used to only dream of but is now a reality. Well you need an Oculus Rift headset (you can find some on eBay since they’re not released on a consumer level yet) and a dakimakaru which has the same dimensions as Hatsune Miku. Luckily for you the developers already have you covered there with a blank dakimakaru and is said to be “springy” and “good for squeezing”.

Not enough immersion for you?! Well, you can even make your dakimakaru SMELL like a high school girl. You can achieve this olfactory immersion with a perfume designed to smell like a high school girl (I’m sorry I can’t give more info but I don’t dare do any more research into this particular perfume).

And there you have it; you can now sleep with Hatsune Miku. Kiss those lonely nights goodbye as you have achieved what was thought to be impossible. Now sleep; SLEEP with your virtual waifu!

Here’s a video if you want a more in-depth impression of the app (she calls you “master”):
