We recently wrote about the wide variety of pet cafés in Japan, but because these things are so popular, more and more shops seem to be popping up! It’s time for a part 2.
This place opened last week in Tokyo. They have a sizable pool (for cramped Tokyo) in the back for the four penguins to swim in, but apparently they have free rein to walk around the bar as well!
As you can see from the video, they have some GINORMOUS fishes in their water tank. I was honestly a little startled when I saw that haha. For fish fanatics, these are the fish that you can see at Gran Ship: arapaima, gars, freshwater stingray, Asian arowana, silver arowana, catfishes, and tambaqui.
Since we skipped the cat and dog cafés last time, I thought I’d include them in part 2, because, let’s face it, no one can see too many pictures of cats and dogs. At this cat café in Jiyugaoka, there are a whopping thirty cats meowing around the place. For those of you who are allergic to cats, you’re gonna have a bad time. But they’re so darn cute, aren’t they?
This place is a perfect café for dog-less pup-lovers, but it’s extremely popular, and therefore requires reservations. That French bulldog has stolen my heart!
