So the makers of Gari Gari Kun, a very famous popsicle brand in Japan, have decided to get even weirder with their flavors. The previous odd flavors were corn potage and cream stew, which are both associated with milk so I could see them tasting decent, but tomato sauce??

Don’t worry. Those chunks aren’t bits of meatballs; they’re tomato jello.

I searched for tomato ice cream and sorbet, and there are quite a bit of recipes, so maybe the guys at Akagi aren’t completely crazy. But this is tomato sauce flavored, not just tomato. We’ll have to wait until the 25th to see what the consensus is.
