Heads up, manga fans.

Apparently, Warner Brothers is adapting the long-running Japanese manga Bleach for a motion picture. As this article from Reuters details,

Filmmaker Peter Segal is in negotiations to produce, though not direct, the adaptation with Viz Media, the anime publishing house that releases the books in English in the U.S. Michael Ewing, Segal’s partner at Callahan Filmworks, will also produce.

Segal might seem like an odd option to produce the film, since he is best known for directing Get Smart and 50 First Dates, but who knows, maybe this will be a new direction for him to go in.

Stay tuned for more news on this, since it is obviously in the very early stages of its production…..

In the meantime, What do you think about a Bleach film adaptation by Warner Brothers? Will it be another adaptation mess, or are you looking forward to it??
