Japan’s biggest rock star, internationally renowned composer, musician, designer, philanthropist, and cultural icon YOSHIKI has been selected as a cover star for the special 200th issue of the influential American fashion and culture publication Flaunt Magazine. The milestone edition, celebrated alongside titles such as TIME and VOGUE for its global impact, features a six-page profile titled “YOSHIKI – It’s A Whole Package”, accompanied by exclusive behind-the-scenes video content.
The feature highlights YOSHIKI’s groundbreaking achievements, including being the first Japanese musician named to TIME magazine’s TIME100: The Most Influential People in the World in 2025, and in 2023 becoming the first Japanese artist to leave his handprints and footprints at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatre in its century-long history.
YOSHIKI’s multifaceted career spans classical and rock music, fashion, and philanthropy. His high-fashion label Maison Yoshiki Paris has gained global recognition, with runway shows at Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks surpassing 100 million views on YouTube. His wine brand Y by Yoshiki continues to thrive, most recently through a headline-making collaboration with world-renowned artist Yoshitomo Nara, also a 2025 TIME100 honoree.
Looking ahead, YOSHIKI will make history once again on November 20, 2025, when he becomes the first Japanese artist to perform a special concert at Hegra, the UNESCO World Heritage site in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, an extraordinary stage that has hosted some of the world’s greatest cultural figures.

In his Flaunt interview, YOSHIKI reflects on the future of music in the age of AI, stating, “The true value of art lies in the process of creation.” He also revealed that he is currently working on three new albums spanning classical, EDM, and rock.
The special 200th issue of Flaunt Magazine also features other iconic cover stars, including acclaimed actor Mark Ruffalo (Avengers), Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard, and NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, who was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame this year.
