Anime Expo announced the final two artists joining the June 30th line-up for Anisong World Matsuri on April 29! This news went viral on the internet among the anime idol fans.
In addition to Wake Up, Girls! And JUNNA and Minori Suzuki from Walkure, now Aqours and THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS join the force for Anisong World Matsuri!
Aqours is from a legendary idol anime, Love Live! Sunshine!! And THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS is a series of the idol video game pioneer, THE IDOLM@STER. Aqours had a special event at Anime Expo 2016, but this time, all 9 members of this unit will attend the event. These two units performing together on the same stage is very rare to witness even in Japan, and American fans here are relishing great pleasure and luck to have a chance to attend this event.

Aqours is a school idol group born from the multimedia project, “Love Live! Sunshine!!”. This project started in April 2015 and Aqours started their activities through various media including CDs, live events, magazines, and mobile apps. They debuted with “Kimi no Kokoro wa Kagayaiteru kai?” in October 2015 and the TV anime aired in summer 2016. They just had their first concerts at Yokohama Arena in February, 2017 as well.
THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS
“THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS” is from the mobile game series THE IDOLM@STER, launched in 2011. There are more than 190 idols in the group. The anime series aired in January 2015, and the rhythm game “”THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS Starlight Stage”” was released in September 2015.For the event, Asami Takano, Haruka Yoshimura, Hiromi Igarashi, Rei Matsuzaki, Tomoyo Kurosawa, Yuko Iida will make an appearance for the special concert.
