Anime “Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life” 2nd Trailer Revealed!
Based on the latest manga by Hekiru Hikawa, creator of hit titles such as Pani Poni, the series is currently serialized in Kodansha’s Morning Two. The story follows Ryusei Narukami, a shut-in gamer who was once the Demon King in another world, and Meteor Hanaori, the Hero who defeated him and is now living as a high school girl. Reunited in a peaceful new life, the former rivals find themselves drawn into an unexpected romantic comedy.
The newly released second trailer showcases Ryusei and Meteor’s reunion and the new “battles” that await them. Featuring action scenes that hint at the powers they carried over from their previous lives, fast-paced comedic exchanges, and heartwarming everyday moments, the trailer highlights the unique charm of the series. It also teases the growing bond between the former Demon King and Hero, who now find themselves navigating a different kind of conflict: romance.
The trailer further reveals that Maaya Uchida will voice the mysterious girl Meru Tsumugina, a key character in the story.
Theme song information has also been announced. The opening theme song, “High Maintenance Girl,” will be performed by Masayoshi Oishi, while the ending theme song, “Very Good Encounter,” will be performed by Maaya Uchida. Both songs can be previewed in the new trailer.
Filled with comedy, romance, and action, this unique love story between a former Hero and a former Demon King is set to begin this summer. The series will also be available for advance streaming on d Anime Store and ABEMA immediately following its broadcast debut.
