Featuring Straw Hat and Trading Card Souvenir Collectibles, Specially Produced Drone Show,
Photo Ops, Mascots and More

On July 2, the worldwide hit anime franchise ONE PIECE returned to Los Angeles’ storied UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium for ONE PIECE Night, coinciding with the evening’s Los Angeles Dodgers game. This event is the second-consecutive, one-day stadium promotion sponsored by the legendary studio Toei Animation in partnership with the Dodgers. A celebration of the globally beloved anime created by Eiichiro Oda, ONE PIECE Night once again treated fans to another not-to-be-missed entertainment experience at the sold-out stadium.

UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium became part of the Grand Line tonight and was awash with digital ONE PIECE imagery and animations on displays throughout the stadium interior and wrapping around the field, including the stadium’s two massive Dodger Vision screens in the left and right outfields. Before game time, the first 52,000 ticketholders entering the turnstile each received a pair of all-new collectible souvenirs — both a co-branded Los Angeles Dodgers ONE PIECE straw hat and a limited edition trading card from the popular ONE PIECE CARD GAME that, just like last year, showcases new original art of ONE PIECE franchise lead character Monkey D. Luffy dressed in a Dodger uniform with bat in hands and wound-up, ready to hit a moonshot.
This evening’s ONE PIECE Night was kicked off by none other than Monkey D. Luffy, captain of the Straw Hat crew and future King of the Pirates. Luffy took the pitcher’s mound and threw the night’s ceremonial first pitch. Throughout the night, guests were able to participate in a variety of ONE PIECE photo activations located in the centerfield plaza of the stadium. Then later, during the fourth inning, the fan-favorite ONE PIECE virtual noise meter made its return appearance on the DodgersVision screens, featuring new animation created especially for this year’s event. And lastly, to finish off ONE PIECE Night, immediately following the game, a brand-new specially produced drone show took flight for an 11-minute long presentation that elicited non-stop wows and cheers from the audience as it filled the starlit skies above the ballpark.
