Winner of the Excellence Award at the 18th MF Bunko J Light Novel Newcomer Awards and ranked #1 in the “New Works” category of Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2024 (published by TAKARAJIMASHA), SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table. is set to become available on select streaming services. It has been officially announced that the series will stream worldwide simultaneously with its Japanese television broadcast.

In the “Ghost House” arc, the girls who join protagonist Yūki (voiced by Chiyuki Miura) in a deadly escape game will be portrayed by Reina Motomura, Inori Minase, Haruka Sato, Mutsumi Tamura, and Rina Kawaguchi.

Yuki (CV: Chiyuki Miura)
Character:
A pale-skinned girl with long hair and striking blue eyes. She lives day to day on the prize money she earns from deadly games, but has little in the way of practical life skills and tends to be careless about most things.

The opening theme for the series has been confirmed as the instrumental track “¬Ersterbend,” composed and arranged by LIN (MADKID).

LIN (MADKID)
LIN is a member of MADKID, a five-member dance and vocal group consisting of 3 vocalists and 2 rappers.
The group has performed theme songs for numerous anime titles, including the The Rising of the Shield Hero series.
In January and February of this year, MADKID embarked on an 11-city tour across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, further expanding their presence and activities overseas.
In addition to his role as a rapper in the group, LIN is also actively involved as a lyricist, composer, and arranger, contributing to the creative direction of MADKID’s music.

The ending theme for the series has been confirmed as “Inori” by Chiai Fujikawa.

Chiai Fujikawa
Born on June 6, 1995, in Ibara City, Okayama Prefecture, she is a Reiwa-era singer who expresses everything from the frustrations and inner conflicts of everyday life to the subtleties of love through her own distinctive and authentic perspective.
Her total YouTube views have surpassed 150 million, marking her as one of the most prominent artists of her generation.
She made her debut at an acoustic live performance in November 2018, and released her first full-length album Raika in May 2019. The album achieved remarkable success, reaching No. 2 on the iTunes Album Chart, No. 1 on the Oricon Daily Chart, and No. 7 on the Billboard Japan Weekly Chart.

She has also performed the reconstruction support song Ano Hi Ano Toki, written by Nobu Chidori, in response to the Western Japan floods.
