The grand finale of the series is finally here!

For more than ten years, Sound! Euphonium has portrayed the youth of high school students who devote themselves to the concert band. Following the emotional finale of Sound! Euphonium 3, which aired in 2024, the story reaches its true conclusion in 2026 with the long awaited theatrical release, Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movie Part 1.

The second key visual is a stunning illustration featuring all 17 main members. Centered on performance scenes, it captures the club members’ intense and focused expressions, the finely detailed instruments rendered with great care, and, rising in the background, Century Hall at the Nagoya International Conference Center. This iconic venue is where the Kitauji High School Concert Band aspires to compete at the National Competition.

The film is led by Chief Director Tatsuya Ishihara, who has guided Kyoto Animation’s production team for over a decade, alongside Director Taichi Ogawa, an integral member of the series’ creative core. With Kyoto Animation’s meticulous visual craftsmanship, a newly written scenario by Jukki Hanada, and the addition of many brand new scenes, including performance sequences never shown in the TV series, the team has come together to create a film worthy of the title The Final Movie Part 1.

A decade long journey now moves toward its next stage. The curtain rises on the final chapter of Sound! Euphonium, marking the culmination of this beloved anime series. Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movie Part 1 opens in theaters across Japan on April 24, 2026.
