Doors opened at 7:00pm at The Novo by Microsoft and security started letting in the VIP ticket holders. Right when you walked inside, there was a booth for Anisong Matsuri merchandise. They were selling penlights that glowed in 12 different colors, as well as exclusive t-shirts. They were also selling CDs of the artists that had participated in this two day event.

After the OLDCODEX members left the stage, several staff members came on stage to clean up, as well as to move the equipments. DJ Kazu appeared to keep the crowd going while the change occurred. By this time, the lights turned on a little and we could see the venue was filled to the max.

It didn’t take them too long for the stage to be set up and DJ Kazu announcing the show was about to begin. FLOW members arrived one by one and then started with “Re:member”, Naruto’s opening theme song. During their 2:00pm show they started their show with “Niji no Sora (虹の空)” so there was a different vibe since Re:member has a faster tempo.

They also performed “JOY TO THE WORLD”, which is one of their songs in their #10 album. It is very rare for them to perform this song, so fans were very lucky to witness this performance. They also had special guest KibaofAkiba(キバオブアキバ) join in as well.

FLOW’s MC was mostly in English due to KOHSHI being an amazing English speaker. He spoke about their trip to Hollywood and how he saw many ‘famous’ people but found that they were fake. “But ‘FYI’ the FLOW that was on stage was real,” he said. He then talked about how language is not the only way to communicate, and that music can also create a connection between one another.

They performed their newest single “Kaze no Uta (風ノ唄)”  that have not been released yet, which is going to be the theme song for Tales Of. It will be release on August 24th, but they performed it for a global debut.

FLOW ended their show with “Garden” as their encore. They did not get the chance to perform an encore since they were the opening act for the 2:00pm show, so it was another rare song that fans got to listen to. Once the song ended, the members went to the rim of the stage and waved to the fans throwing their guitar picks and drumsticks to the fans. They did a few fist pumps with lucky fans as well. They didn’t leave the stage until they got their final deep bow, which resulted in an uproar of the audience clapping and the balcony seaters were all standing for a standing ovation. KEIGO ended his speech with “Anime Expo Saiko!” and even after the other members left the stage, he gave another deep bow before leaving.
