Recently, the famed Manga Author of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda, shared an update via Netflix about his passionate involvement on the upcoming Live Action adaptation of One Piece. 

Some key details revealed are the expected release of the Live Action will come in 2023 however states that it will only happen until Oda is satisfied that it’s ready. Another key tidbit is the 8 episode count for the first season. (Earlier in the year, it was reported that Netflix had ordered 10 episodes.)

It will be very interesting to see how the Live Action tackles the first arc of One Piece in such a short episode count.
