Alternative rock band ARKTA premiered the music video for their latest single “DIVE,” released on April 23. The video was revealed on Wednesday, May 28 on the band’s Youtube.
The video takes viewers on a cinematic journey through the American West, from the dazzling neon-lit nights of Las Vegas to the vast desert landscapes of Nevada, where the band races through the open terrain in a Jeep. With locations symbolizing freedom and limitless possibility, the video embodies the spirit of the American frontier. Filming took place across iconic sites including the Route 66, the entertainment capital Las Vegas Strip, and the awe-inspiring natural scenery of Valley of Fire State Park. Each setting amplifies the energy and sense of liberation found in “DIVE.”
With ARKTA’s explosive rock sound echoing against the backdrop of endless horizons, swirling desert dust, and fiery red rock formations, the music video captures the exact moment of “diving headfirst into the future on pure impulse.” It’s a bold, cinematic piece that expands on the emotional and sonic landscape of the song.
ARKTA is a rock band formed by Tak, who is also known for his role as a ring announcer for NJPW STRONG (New Japan Pro Wrestling’s U.S. Competition), and kenken, former member of DELHEZI and current support guitarist for Japanese nu-metal band Another Story. In 2024, the band successfully completed two domestic tours. During their first-ever live house show in Shibuya this April, the deep connection with the audience became a powerful source of inspiration for “DIVE.” The song was completed during their second tour in November and received an overwhelming response when performed live for the first time, quickly becoming a core anthem in ARKTA’s performances.
“DIVE” is a powerful outcry against self-doubt and the pressure to conform. True to ARKTA’s straightforward and unfiltered style, the song delivers a raw message about the importance of embracing oneself without pretense. ABOUT ARKTA
ARKTA is an international hybrid rock duo formed by Tak (vocals) from Los Angeles and kenken (vocals/producer) from Tokyo. Drawing on nu-metal and emo influences, their sound blends powerful melodies with raw emotional storytelling. Tak is also known as the ring announcer for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW STRONG) and the screamer for North American band Quietude, while kenken is a former member of metalcore band DELHEZI and has performed with Japan’s loud rock outfit Another Story. Their distinctive musical style led to their involvement in the 2021 worldwide release of the Nitro CHiRAL visual novel Slow Damage, for which they contributed the tracks “Keep Me Alive” and “Damaging You.”
ARKTA’s live presence has been key to their growing reputation. Their debut at CHiRAL LIVE 2022 × Slow Damage in Tokyo was a sold-out success, followed by a standout performance at Rising Japan Fest 2023 in Los Angeles, where they shared the stage with Def Tech. In 2024, they released their first EP From Where The City Lights Burn, a self-produced project that demonstrated their DIY ethos and sonic evolution, led by the single “The Lily.” The EP was entirely created by the band, showcasing their artistic independence and strong creative chemistry.
Following a successful Japan tour in July and November 2024, ARKTA is now set to release their next single, “DIVE,” on April 23, 2025.
