J-rock fans mourn the passing of yet another music icon.  The official website of  J-rock visual-kei band, the GazettE, announced today that REITA, the band’s bassist, has passed away. The details of his death were not revealed at the time of this writing. Below is the band’s official communication:

Formally known as Gazette, the band started in 2002 in Kanagawa, Japan. Its current members are singer Ruki, guitarist Uruha and Aoi, bassist Reita, and drummer Kai. One of their popular songs, “Shiver” was used as the opening theme to the anime Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji).
