On December 1, Utada Hikaru updated her Twitter account and gave fans a glimpse of her life as a new mother.
She tweeted, “The last time I had a lifestyle where I woke up every morning at 6:30 was about 15 years ago before I dropped out of college. I didn’t realize until I became a mother myself that there are no such thing as weekends, holidays, nor sick days in a work of a ‘parent’. This is my first good morning kuma bonjour since becoming a mama.“
Fans were happy to hear from the singer for the first time in five months. They left comments saying, “Thank you for tweeting” and “There are many things to enjoy, so do your best!“
Utada married an Italian man in May of last year and gave birth to their first child, a baby boy, this July.
