5月8日。El Rey Theatre にて、MIYAVIの”DAY2” World Tour 2018のLA公演が行われた。 Read the English version here! 開場前。平日の夜にもかかわらず、会場の外には長蛇の列ができていた。前回のLA公演から約1年。今回はどんなショーを魅せてくれるのか、ファンたちは期待で胸がいっぱいのようだ。 午後8時半。「Flashback」というパワフルな楽曲でステージに登場したMIYAVI。銀髪にライダースジャケットで登場した彼はまさにロックスターの風貌だ。ライブでは常に大盛り上がりを見せる「So On It」、そして「In Crowd」が続いた。 MCではバンドメンバーを紹介した後、自身の近況報告や告知が続いた。観客の中にはアニメファンも多く、彼も出演する実写映画「BLEACH」の話題になると、大きな歓声がわき上がった。LAで過ごす家族との時間についても触れ、「本日のアシスタント」と長女をステージに呼ぶと、会場は温かい拍手と声援に包まれた。 昨年末、MIYAVIは日本人初となるUNHCR(国連難民高等弁務官事務所)の親善大使に任命された。MCでは、その活動についても語った。レバノンの難民キャンプで感じたことを赤裸々に話した。ギターを片手に難民と交流を続けているMIYAVI。MC中には、こんな言葉も残した。 「音楽は直接世界を変えられないかもしれない。だけど、音楽は人を変えられる。そして、人には世界を変えられる力がある。」 今回のライブでは、アルバム「Fire Bird」からの楽曲やKREVAとのコラボ曲「STRONG」など、数々の勢いあるナンバーも演奏された。ステージを駆け巡りながら観客との交流を楽しむMIYAVIは、一瞬ともファンを飽きさせない。 「Youth of the...
