KADOKAWA is excited to release the event report on the special event “Ichigo Production☆Fan Festival 2023” for TV Anime OSHI NO KO.

 

Dream collaboration between the new B Komachi and Ai performed live together!

A special event titled, “Ichigo Production☆Fan Festival 2023” was held on November 26, 2023 (Sun.) Japan Time, at Hall 9-10, International Exhibition Hall, Makuhari Messe.
Rie Takahashi (voice of Ai), Takeo Otsuka (voice of Aqua), Yurie Igoma (voice of Ruby), Megumi Han (voice of Kana Arima), Manaka Iwami (voice of Akane Kurokawa), Rumi Okubo (voice of MEMcho), and Kent Ito (voice of Gorou) appeared on stage to deliver live voice acting and singing performances.
Here is an event report summary of the event, which included many surprise elements such as secret guest appearances and new information announcements.

A recitation of famous scenes from season one by live voice acting with live music performance!

After the cast members appeared on stage and greeted the audience, they immediately began an in-character live voice acting performance, looking back on the first season of the anime. The passionate performance by the cast and the live accompaniment by secret guest Takuro Iga (who is in charge of the music for this work), took the audience on a journey into the world of 【OSHI NO KO】. The audience was moved by the various notable scenes that were performed during the event.

After a reflective discussion about season one, the session continues with the game section: Job Simulation Challenge. In the afternoon session, the cast members tried out “Momotaro,” the Japanese traditional folktale, in a skit. The cast members were given the roles of “Momotaro,” “narrator,” and “director” by drawing roles on the spot.
Unexpected guests join the live singing section!

After a video announcement sharing information about the event’s original merchandise by MEMcho, it was time for the live singing performance section. A surprise performance by Rie Takahashi, the voice of Ai, raised the energy of the venue with a performance of the OP theme song “Idol.”

It was followed by the “Ichigo Production Special Medley”. Megumi Han, voice of Kana Arima, sang “Full moon…!” and “Bell Pepper Exercises.” Lynn, voice of Miyako, and Taishi Murata, voice of Pieyon, made a surprise appearance as well! Together with Takeo Otsuka, voice of Aqua, and Manaka Iwami, voice of Akane Kurokawa, they all danced to two songs, “Bell Pepper Exercises” and “Pieyon Boot Dance.”

After the Special Medley, Rie Takahashi took the stage once again to perform“HEART’s♡KISS.” She spoke of her impressions on performing in front of the audience, as well as on the announcements of the Youtube Channel livestream “Ichigo Production Kyuutoujitsu” by Lynn and Murata.

After the talking session, the new B Komachi (Yurie Igoma, Megumi Han and Rumi Okubo) finally appeared. They sang “STAR☆T☆RAIN” and lastly performed “Sign Is B” with Rie Takahashi. The singing live concert concluded with a special stage performance by the new B Komachi and Ai.

While the excitement was still bubbling, the new season two visual along with the premiere year of 2024 was revealed for the first time.
The event ended with the cast thanking the audience for coming to the event and sharing their thoughts on season two.

The TV anime 【OSHI NO KO】 is based on the manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, serialized in Shueisha’s “Weekly Young Jump” magazine.
The TV anime series was simulcast from April to June 2023 internationally. Its various elements, including a story depicting the “entertainment industry” from a completely new angle, voice actors’ performance that touched the hearts of viewers, and the theme song by YOASOBI and QUEEN BEE, received a critically acclaimed response. Synopsis:
When a pregnant young starlet appears in Gorou Amemiya’s countryside medical clinic, the doctor takes it upon himself to safely (and secretly) deliver Ai Hoshino’s child so she can make a scandal-free return to the stage. But no good deed goes unpunished, and on the eve of her delivery, he finds himself slain at the hands of Ai’s deluded stalker — and subsequently reborn as Ai’s child, Aquamarine Hoshino! The glitz and glamor of showbiz hide the dark underbelly of the entertainment industry, threatening to dull the shine of his favorite star. Can he help his new mother rise to the top of the charts?
