Two famous scary ghosts from Japanese horror moivies, Sadako and Kayako has appeared at the opening pitch ceremony for the game between Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters and Tokyo Yakult Swallows at Sapporo Dome in Hokkaido on June 1st.
Sadako is from one of the well-known horror films, “The Ring” and Kayako is also a famous ghost from a Japanese horror film, “The Grudge” Ju On.” They joined the baseball game to promote their upcoming movie, “The Ring vs. The Grudge” premiering on June 18th.
The pitcher was Sadako and the Kayako was a butter for this scariest battle. Surprisingly it seems like these two ghosts are not only good at scaring people but also good at playing baseball. Sadako pitched a ball at a speed of 60 miles per hour with a perfect form and while on the other hand, Kayako managed to hit it to the left field.
Since Kayako cannot walk (from her background in the movie), her son Toshio wearing a “I Love Kayako” T shirts, stepped in for his mother and ran to the first base.
This battle has ended with Kayako’s victory this time and Sadako left the field with the help of Nippon Ham’s mascot character, B.B.
