It’s still fresh news that a very popular shojo manga series, Cardcaptor Sakura came back to a monthly manga anthology, Nakayoshi. Now they surprised us with another big news, that this new CC Sakura series will get an anime adaption!
Nakayoshi July issue was released on June 3rd with a first episode of a new CC Sakura manga series and in this book for the first time in 16 years, they revealed that it will also turn into anime. Although details including the airing date still hasn’t been mentioned yet, they said they will keep updating when they can.
This new series, “Clear Card Arc” is an after story since the original series and the main character, Sakura is back as a middle school student!
It is also 20th year anniversary so they have been celebrating their anniversary by re-airing the original series on TV, re-releasing old illustration books and collaborating with many brands and companies.
